The Expanse series is easily my favorite space opera/science fiction on the market. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every book so far and hope Persepolis Rising regains some of that awesome momentum that Babylon’s Ashes was missing. The series has a lot of action, great characters, and tons of memorable moments. If you haven’t picked it up yet, what are you waiting for? It’s awesome!

Excellent, thank you!! Then maybe I actually can read them this year! I have a few other ginormous series to read, but what’s one more, right? *nervous twitch* Lol The other two are totally different genres, though, so sci-fi should be a nice break…

Not since the 1970’s, when I binge-read all of Larry Niven’s Known Space series, or earlier when I feasted on Andre Norton’s books, have I found a Sci-Fi series that grabs my attention like this. The authors are geniuses, weaving extrapolated tech and behavior 200 years into the future. Really masterful work.
And can’t wait for Book #7.

I can’t wait for book #7 either! I really need to pickup both of those authors. I’ve read some of Andre Norton’s fantasy works, but I haven’t ventured into the sci-fi stuff yet. I’ve been looking more and more into the classic sci-fi genre lately, so your recommendations are incredibly timely! Lately, the Expanse series is definitely my favorite, but I would definitely suggest checking out Fortune’s Pawn by Rachel Bach because it has a lot of the same appeal (albeit with a few more aliens). :-)
