The premise for the series is great: Calliope is the daughter of the grim reaper and often has more to do with the family business (Death, Inc.) than she’d like to. This is definitely going on my TBR list!

This is one of those authors that I’ve always been interested in but never gotten around to reading. She is responsible for the “Path of Fate” series that seems to sell so well, and I love the fact that she also has an urban series. Perhaps I’ll nominate one of her works in the next Your Pick for Nik! feature. In any case, if you follow this author, there’s something to look forward to the day after Christmas! :)

I’m not normally drawn to short stories, but with the promising lineup of authors featured in this anthology I might have to give it a try. Highly successful women writers in the teen and urban fantasy genres, this is sure to be a heart-wrenching, romantic, and delightfully odd compilation.

One of my all-time favorite authors has a new book in a few months, and I can hardly wait! As mentioned in the review for book #1, “Bloodlines“, I love everything Mead has written, and I’m sure this book will be no exception! Although appropriate as a stand-alone series, if you are new to this author, I recommend beginning with the “Vampire Academy” novels.
