Nik’s Notes:

Kim Harrison has quickly become one of my favorite authors! She never lets me down, and in fact gets better with every new book (although I’m always perplexed how she can continually improve on outstanding). I have to say, I’m not caught up with this series because I’ve been deliberately reading them slowly – savoring every last page. I dread the day I don’t have a Harrison to read when I need a guaranteed good book. If you like urban fantasy and haven’t given this one a try, you’re sorely missing out!

What book are you waiting on?

    • She is awesome – one of my favorites in fact. If urban fantasies are not your thing, she has a lovely fantasy love story called the Truth series (written under the pen name Dawn Cook).

  1. Kim Harrison has published on her website the first chapter to the Undead Pool and reading it was like getting a Hollows fix. I only hope I can hold out until February for the rest of the story. The Hollows is probably my favourite urban fantasy series and I will mourn when Ms. Harrison stops writing it.

    • Thank you for the tip! I didn’t realize she had made the first the chapter available (jumps for joy!). I know how you feel, she’s probably my favorite as well and there will be a big gap in my reading world when she stops writing. I’m determined to savor every last word… :-)
