The first book in this series, Partials, was by far the best YA I read in 2012 (and trust me, it had some stiff competition). I loved the characters, the story, the world-building, the pacing – everything! The second book was every bit as good, and now I am dying to find out what happens next! This series is responsible for reinvigorating my love of dystopians and I recommend it as often as I can. If you loved Hunger Games, Divergent, and Legend, this is the perfect series to try next!

  1. Wow! For some reason after reading certain reviews of Partials, I was convinced that I wouldn’t like it, but… if it was one of your favorites (and we have a lot of similar tastes, I feel like), then I think I definitely have to give it a chance. *goes to see if it’s available from my library*

I hope you enjoy RUINS when it comes out!!

    • It blew me away, so I sincerely hope you enjoy it if you decide to pick it up. It had a lot of the same fast-paced elements that I loved about The Fifth Wave (which was one of the best books I read this year thanks to your great recommendation), so maybe it is more up your alley then you thought. :-)

      • You are doing a really good job of convincing me. So glad you loved The 5th Wave, and if Partials has any of the same elements, I’m sure I’ll love it. Thanks Niki!!
