This Top Ten Tuesday was almost as difficult to compose as last week’s (which I ended up changing entirely), mostly because I can only think of three books I was ever “forced” to read. They were literary classics I had to read for grade school and in no way reflect my tastes as a reader. For the people that like that genre, I’m sure they were outstanding books, so I’d rather not spend a post ranting about them just because they are outside my wheelhouse.
While I am constantly influenced by other readers, I never feel coerced into picking anything up that doesn’t interest me – especially when there are hundreds of books in my TBR that I’m just dying to read. So where does that leave us this week?
I decided to feature the books I added to my reading list solely based on stellar reviews posted by my fellow bloggers:

I feel ultimate shame because I have yet to actually pick up any on the list, LOL. I did buy them, though, so that counts right? Major kudos for reading The Book Thief – that’s one I know I should be reading… Maybe next year ha ha.

So many of these books I really need to get around to reading. I have had so many people tell me that I need to read Cinder, so it’s very near the top of my TBR pile (once I get my rereads of Divergent & Insurgent out the way and devour Allegiant). I have heard so many amazing things about it, I just worry I’m going to go into it with ridiculously high expectations.
I also really want to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone, as again I’ve heard some incredible things. I have it sitting on my bookshelf, it’s just finding the time to get to it. Shatter Me is another one I really want to read, just need to track it down first!

There at the top of mine as well – too many people have raved about them for me to ignore them any longer ha ha. I believe I’ll probably start with Cinder, since that has the most hype then maybe Shadow and Bone second. At least there’s tons of great feedback on all of them (Although, they will all make way for Allegiant on Tuesday!). :)
